  • Many people gain the most benefit from working with a Coach for at least 3 to 6 months although it is different for everyone. It takes time to engage in the exploration process and trace the elements of what made us who we are today and discover who it is that we want to become. We are all at different stages of that journey. Coaching is not a quick fix. You have to be willing to be open and engage in the process.

  • No, you do not need to have an ADHD diagnosis to engage in ADHD coaching! Many people do not have a diagnosis. In fact, up to 75-85% of adults may not even know they have it. ADHD is one of the most commonly misdiagnosed disorders worldwide. It is a complex diagnosis and symptoms often overlap with other medical and mental health disorders, making it challenging to properly identify at times. The more you can learn about yourself and your brain, the more information you can provide to your medical team if and when you may be interested in pursuing a possible diagnosis.

  • It is important to note that coaching does not involve the diagnosis or medical treatment of mental disorders, including ADHD, as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. Coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical, or other qualified professionals.

It is your responsibility to seek such independent professional guidance as needed. Coaching can, however, be a supportive adjunct to other treatment you may be receiving as long as it is an integrated part of your and your team’s goals and intentions.

  • The answers are within you! Coaching is a “thinking partnership” where we work together to follow the trail of what you want and how to get there. The coach acts as a gentle guide, using reflective inquiry, insights, and silence to help you uncover that inner wisdom.

  • Coaching can most definitely help with finding strategies to make your life more enjoyable and meaningful. However, as you will find as you engage in the process, the issues you typically desire strategies for are often simply the outward manifestation of something deeper that usually is calling out to be addressed first.
